Dental Services

Oral Examination

An Initial or Recall Examination in our office includes intraoral and extraoral evaluation of the head and neck, oral cancer screening, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment plan recommendations.

We take all necessary radiographs for the proper evaluation of teeth, jaws and surrounding tissues. Besides conventional dental radiographs (periapicals and bitewings), our office is equipped with a panoramic machine that allows us to take a radiograph that captures the entire mouth and neighboring structures on a single image. It facilitates us diagnosing various pathologies and malformations like jaw fractures, status of wisdom teeth, periodontal bone loss, developmental anomalies, sialolithiasis (salivary stones), TMJ problems, malignant formations and cysts. This image is also used when we surgically extract teeth, for orthodontic assessment and for diagnosing congenitally missing teeth.

Fillings

In most cases we use tooth-colored restorations to restore decayed or fractured teeth, reshape malformed teeth and in some instances to change the tooth color.

Sealants

Sealants are thin coatings placed on the top surface of the back teeth in children to prevent formation of caries lesions.

Periodontal Treatment

Our patients are recalled twice a year for a standard cleaning. When the patient has periodontal disease, we perform scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) procedure to prevent the disease from spreading further at a higher rate. Even though periodontal disease is irreversible, home care and compliance with necessary dental treatments will slow down the pathogenic process. The purpose of a deep cleaning is to remove plaque and calculus from periodontal pockets that helps reduce the level of bacterial toxins. Sometimes we follow scaling and root planing with adjunctive therapy by local delivery of antimicrobial medication called Arestin or by prescribing a systemic antibiotic. Additionally, all patients are provided with proper and detailed instructions on oral hygiene and proper nutrition.

Oral Surgery and Implants

We perform various simple and surgical extractions of teeth in our facility. More complicated cases that may require invasive surgical intervention into nearby structures or implant cases are referred to Oral Surgeons that we have been partnered with for a multitude of years.

Root Canals

When a tooth has an advanced caries lesion or becomes infected, we perform a root canal procedure. During this treatment, the nerve or decomposed remaining tissue is removed from the inside of a tooth. Next, the canal is cleaned manually with irrigation, and finally the decontaminated canal is sealed.

Post and Core

After the  Root canal is completed, our dentists determine if there is enough healthy tooth structure to allow for a successful restoration. In some cases, we have to place post and core to ensure the stability of the tooth prior to placing of a crown.

Fixed Dental Prosthetic

Crowns and Bridges

When a tooth presents severe loss of a structural base, we recommend to cover it with a crown as a final restoration in order to preserve the tooth for a longer period of time.

If a patient has lost any teeth and still has other stable abutments adjacent to that space, we can restore the function and aesthetics on that side of the mouth with a fixed bridge that will be permanently cemented.

Complete and Partial Dentures

Our office offers a variety of removable appliances to replace missing teeth for cosmetic and functional reasons.

Whitening

For a brighter smile, we use a chemically activated, in-office whitening system that dramatically transforms the color of your teeth in just one hour.

Invisalign

We offer orthodontic treatments with aesthetically appealing, removable, clear aligners, which are presently the best choice for most people over traditional metal braces.

Sport Mouth Guards and Night Guards

A mouth guard that done by a dental professional offers the most protection when engaging in sports. It is specifically designed to fit each individual’s mouth and allows athletes to breathe comfortably and make it more feasible to hydrate during practices without taking the guard off.

A night guard is recommended for patients to reduce the forces of mastication while clenching or grinding. It requires a precise appliance with certain properties to obtain a good result.

Botox and Fillers

Botox and fillers are used at our office for the following procedures:

  • Establishing proper lip and smile lines for dental aesthetics
  • Lip enhancement for dental aesthetics
  • Treatment of angular cheilitis (cracked corners of lips)
  • Reducing muscle hyperactivity for retention of removable prosthetics
