Podiatry

Feet carry everything else, and foot problems change how people move long before they get treated. Our podiatrists handle routine foot care and the conditions that need a procedure.

What we treat

  • Heel and arch pain — including plantar fasciitis.
  • Bunions and hammertoes — conservative treatment and outpatient correction.
  • Ingrown and fungal toenails — treated in the office.
  • Diabetic foot care — regular checks, wound care, and prevention of complications.
  • Ankle sprains and fractures — with X-ray taken on site.
  • Neuropathy and circulation problems — assessed alongside our vascular team.

Diabetic foot care matters most

For patients with diabetes, a small foot problem can become a serious one quickly. Routine podiatric checks are among the most effective ways to prevent that, and our podiatrists coordinate directly with the endocrinology and vascular providers managing the underlying condition.

Procedures that need an outpatient setting are performed in our ambulatory surgery center.

When to see a podiatrist

Foot and ankle pain is easy to put off until it stops you doing things. Come in for chronic pain when walking, swelling, changes in skin color, wounds that will not heal, or a visible deformity. Anyone with diabetes should have their feet checked regularly, since infections and circulation problems develop quietly. Injuries from sport and the damage done by tight shoes are both worth having looked at early rather than late.
