Carotid & Vascular Doppler Ultrasound

Doppler ultrasound shows blood moving through vessels, so narrowing, blockage, and clots can be identified without radiation or contrast dye.

What we evaluate

• Carotid arteries — plaque in the neck arteries that raises stroke risk.
• Leg arteries — reduced flow behind pain when walking or a wound that will not heal.
• Leg veins — deep vein thrombosis and the valve failure behind varicose veins and swelling.

Studies are performed in the building and read by our vascular and cardiology providers, who can begin treatment at the same visit when findings call for it.
