Panoramic Dental Imaging
A panoramic image captures the entire mouth in one exposure: all the teeth, both jaws, the sinuses, and the jaw joints.
What it is used for
- Wisdom teeth — position and relationship to the nerve before extraction.
- Extraction and implant planning — assessing available bone.
- Jaw joint and sinus findings — structures outside the reach of standard dental films.
It is a single quick exposure with no film in the mouth, which most patients find considerably more comfortable.
