EMG & Nerve Conduction Studies

Electromyography and nerve conduction studies measure the electrical behavior of nerves and muscles. Together they turn numbness or weakness into a specific diagnosis.

What we can identify

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome — and other nerve compressions, with the severity graded.
  • Peripheral neuropathy — including nerve damage related to diabetes.
  • Radiculopathy — a pinched nerve in the neck or lower back causing pain down a limb.

Testing is performed here by our neurology team. When results point toward surgery or rehabilitation, orthopedics and physical therapy are in the same building.
